A U.S. study has shown that smokers—whether male or female—do not make better lovers. In fact, smokers are more likely to be less amorous in bed than their non-smoking counterparts. In the study, men who had successfully stopped smoking improved their sexual healthy more than males who relapsed and began smoking again. Many healthcare professionals say that relapse is common, however, among smokers, and should keep trying to stop smoking for health benefits.
Even younger men who smoke can have negative sexual effects, such as trouble performing and/or maintaining an erection, than men (even older men who have never smoked) who do not light up a cigarette. According to the study, the 20 men who quit smoking during the 8-week long trial saw a greater increase in penis growth compared to those who did not quit smoking. Healthcare professionals have agreed that because of vein and artery restriction that smoking cause, sexual dysfunction is common with smokers.

For example, healthcare providers can use the eyes to diagnose cardiovascular diseases, hypertension disease, glaucoma, diabetes, and can even indicate cholesterol problems.

Hypertension disease is a major problem for many Americans, and is just another name for high blood pressure. Your eye doctor can sometimes diagnose this dangerous condition when doing a routine eye exam, which is why it’s so important to avoid missing regular check-ups—not just with your eye doctor but with primary healthcare providers, as well.
